Planning for The Stiles! by Barclay Phillips

We are pleased to announce Barclay+Phillips Architects received unanimous Planning Approval last night for The Stiles in Ormskirk, at the West Lancs Planning committee meeting! The Liverpool office worked closely with Planning and Conservation to create a 95-bed student scheme with landscaped public realm and ground floor commercial space, on a previously vacant site in the centre of the town. The local councillors were very supportive, and we are really looking forward to seeing the project progress!

Keble Road - in for Planning by Barclay Phillips

Keble Road is a recent planning submission we have made in Chandler’s Ford. The proposal is for the removal of an existing bungalow and outbuildings to allow for the creation of a small contemporary residential development, comprising five 4 bedroom detached dwellings and garages.

The scheme is currently still in for planning, with a decision expected in late August.

The Stiles in for Planning by Barclay Phillips

The Stiles is a recent planning submission we have made for new student accommodation and commercial units in Ormskirk.

The proposal is split into 4 blocks and comprise 101 student apartments, a mix of studios and 5/6 bed cluster apartments with communal kitchen and living areas. Located in a conservation area the proposal aims to make use of an existing backland site in the center of Ormskirk. The material palette and build form were coordinated with West Lancs Planning and Conservation teams with the aim to create a modern proposal that both blends and contracts to the existing building stock.

Planning Approval - 4 New Dwellings in Dinton by Barclay Phillips

We had a successful end to the week last week having gained planning approval for 4 new dwellings on a site in Dinton, near Salisbury. The scheme is to replace an existing vacant bungalow on a very large plot to provide 4 new family homes.

Moyles Place on the website! by Barclay Phillips

One of our current projects for a small residential development in Over Wallop can now be found on the website! Moyles Place gained planning approval in October 2018 for 4 new dwellings on land once owned by Suddern Farm. Good progress is currently being made on site with completion anticipated for late Summer/early Autumn 2019 .

We have been very busy in the office recently but last week we were able to leave the office and see how Britford Lane was progressing. The site is really coming together and we think the houses are looking fantastic!

International Property Awards - South West WINNER! by Barclay Phillips

About a month ago we entered 'The International Property Awards' for the 'Architecture of Multiple Residence' award. Today we got some excellent news... we have won an award for our project at Faulston Barns! We are over the moon and pleasantly surprised, now all we need to do is wait until the 27th October to find out the full extent of our award - we can't wait!

Site Progress - Britford Lane by Barclay Phillips

A visit to site earlier this week (when the weather was nicer!) showed just how much progress has been made on site at Britford Lane. We think the cladding looks fantastic and can't wait to revisit the site again soon to see how the other properties are coming along.

Bracton Cottage Update! by Barclay Phillips

Bracton Cottage has been occupied for a while but only recently have the externals been fully completed. Finished photos of the whole house will hopefully follow soon, but until then we are excited to show you some before and after photos of the project... what a transformation!
