We are pleased to announce that our project at Headlands is very nearly complete! At lunch yesterday we popped over to site to get some photos - we think the transformation is amazing!
Work is progressing well at the old Headlands Garage! Internally the spaces are now newly plastered and the void space has been opened up. Even in its unfinished state you can already tell that the small building is going to feel amazingly bright and airy! We are really excited to see the progress over the coming weeks as everything starts to get finished!
Things are coming together at Headlands! In the past few weeks the windows have now been installed making the building mostly watertight, and externally the scaffolding has come down. The internal finishes and fixtures are now being chosen and sourced and we're looking forward to seeing the continual progress!
The past few months have seen Headlands start to resemble a whole building again! The newly rebuilt gables are now structurally sound and the roof structure and dormers have been constructed, with roofers making progress on preparing for the tiles. Internally, the vaulted first floor enables the finished spaces to be better visualised. Though currently boarded up for safety, once the void space is uncovered the landing and snug will become a lovely area!
There has been so much progress at Headlands in the recent weeks that it is looking almost unrecognisable!
As the ground floor spaces are starting to be realised, at first floor there is hardly anything left! Due to the age of the structure and the building not being watertight for a period of time much of the roof timbers had rotten, and the end gable walls were unsafe. In order to transform the old garage into a structurally sound home the existing roof and end gables are being rebuilt and strengthened. The newly built first floor has also greatly improved the stability of the building. We're looking forward to seeing progress over the next month or so as the new roof structure is constructed!
Earlier in the week we had the opportunity to go over the road to Whaddon Farm to see it in its finished state. We are really impressed with the quality of the finish in both dwellings and are sure they will make superb family homes!
Back in 2014 we gained planning permission for the extension and renovation of a dated bungalow in Lymington into a contemporary family home. The scheme proposed to retain some of the existing structure and internal walls whilst extending to the front, rear and one side of the property. The proposal allowed for the creation of a 4 bedroom 4 bathroom home, with a large open plan kitchen/dining/living space and separate formal living room.
Work began on site early this year and as you can see from our photos it wont be too long until it is complete. We are really looking forward to seeing Daniell's Walk in its finished form!
Before we made it into the office this morning we dropped in at the Headlands Garage in Downton where in February this year we gained planning permission for the conversion of the old car garage into a unique 2 bedroom dwelling. Work began on site on Monday and having seen the amount of work that has already been done we are really looking forward to watching this project progress!
We have just obtained approval for converting the former car garage - Headlands Garage, Downton to a high quality 2 bedroom dwelling.
It has been a successful start to the year. We obtained three planning approvals in one day.
- Ellengowan - proposed alterations & additions
- Marwin Cottage - proposed alterations & additions
