Devizes Town Council FC Clubhouse & Facilities
Our proposal for new football facilities in Devizes has been designed to replace the existing facilities on the site. The new building is proposed to be located on the site to the east of the existing facilities. Taking into account the brief from the client, the design has culminated in a functional and efficient building layout with contemporary aesthetics and low maintenance materials. The massing of the building is broken down through the use of a simple contemporary form for the two storey element, and a single storey project on the principal elevation also allowing for a covered entrance.
Internally the building provides for a number of activities, with the ground floor comprising sports changing facilities, a club room and kitchen. Offices for the FA are located on the first floor, with two meeting rooms overlooking the new 3G pitch opening out onto a terrace.
To the south of the proposed clubhouse provision of a new 3G artificial pitch provides a number of benefits to the local community and surrounding areas. Greater usage of the facilities will be possible with additional training areas, flexible pitches and the inclusion of lighting and a durable playing surface enables year round usage in both daytime and evenings.
The proposal is currently in for planning.
