Stonehenge Road, Amesbury
Albert Street was a fairly minor project undertaken to improve the kitchen and bathrooms of this terraced house in Windsor.
By reusing the majority of an existing kitchen extension, minor alterations were able to be made to the fabric of the structure. The corner of the extension was replaced with two bi-fold doors opening out on a new terrace, bringing light into the long narrow space and forming a breakfast area that connects to the outside space. The kitchen was also redesigned to improve its usability. Though fairly compact, through clever kitchen design and increasing the amount of natural light, this space feels and appears to be much more than it actually is.
The bathroom of Albert Street was also vastly improved and modernised. A contemporary wet-room feel was created incorporating a feature free standing bath and separate walk in shower.
