Previously an old detached bungalow was located on this large plot. The client took our design for a contemporary 5 bedroom family home and self-built it over a 2 year period.
Responding the the interesting site, Ridgemount steps down into the landscape, with large areas of glazing and bi-fold doors opening onto the elevated terrace, taking advantage of the enviable views.
Internally the centre of the house forms the focal point of the layout. The dual aspect space opens out onto external terraces to the front and rear creating a striking dining hall. The feature glass and timber staircase is also within this space and forms a double height space with a glass roof, allowing light to flood in as well as providing lovely views from the gallery landing.
